4 triathlons of 3 days, multiple formats, and different distances — we have a race for you. Distances range from short and Olympic distance to half iron endurance distance to cap off the weekend. The ultimate test of endurance is to complete all four triathlons but you can participate in 1 race or as many as you wish with our Triple T package.
Participate with friends! Triathlon may be considered an individual sport on race day, however, getting to the start line doesn’t have to be a solo effort! At American Triple-T, we feel that triathlon teams and clubs create the sense of community that American Triple-T is all about.
Not Ready to Solo? No Problem. We have an exciting American Triple-T Relay Team competition. Get together with friends and tackle the weekend. Relay Teams are formed of 2 or 3 competitors that compete as a team to finish the Triathlon. Only one person is on the course at a time, all team members must complete at least one section of the course.

About the American Triple-T
What IS the American Triple-T? Well, it’s everything you’ve heard it to be, and more. The event is so much more than your typical “triathlon weekend” — it’s a triathlon achievement of epic proportions for all who partake. It is 3 consecutive days of racing, gelling together 4 races covering a total of more than 70 or 140 miles for the weekend. You will find yourself swimming in chilly Atwood Lake, riding the challenging hills of Tuscarawas and Carroll County, and finishing with a demanding run on the manicured trails within the park.
The American Triple-T is not for the weak or faint of spirit. It has humbled many triathletes who didn’t take it seriously, and it validates a host of others who test their “tri-mettle” at the “T” every year. Athletes from all 50 states, and 4 continents have all sought the privilege of earning their American Triple-T finisher T-shirt. Competitors, volunteers and spectators all come away with a new appreciation of the sport and of the athletes who train and tame mind and body to complete this legendary event.
You’ll also come away with newfound friendships, and you’ll solidify those bonds every year you come together to face this demon. There are even a special few who turned their initial shared experiences at the American Triple-T into a union of souls, and they came back the next year to compete as husband and wife! HFP Racing invites you to Ohio’s season opening Sprint triathlons, Duathlon and Aquabike at the Pleasant Valley SPRINT Triathlon, Duathlon, & Aquabike. This exciting weekend gives participants an opportunity to race alongside the American Triple-T participants in Saturday morning’s race during the American Triple-T weekend. You will find yourself swimming in the beautiful Pleasant Hill Lake, riding the challenging hills surrounding Pleasant Hill, and finishing with a run on the rolling roads within the park.
The Pleasant Valley Triathlon, Duathlon & Aquabike takes place at Pleasant Hill Lake Park located an hour North of Columbus, Ohio and and approximately 1 hour 20 minutes South of Cleveland, Ohio off I-71. Pleasant Hill Lake Park, located in central Ohio’s Mohican Country, is widely known for its outdoor recreational activities. The park is located in Ashland and Richland Counties and accessible via Routes 39, 95, & 603 from I-71. The park is part of the Muskingum Valley Water District.

TOP OVERALL Division FINISHER (1st Place) in each AGE GROUP, 1st RESPONDER, CLYDESDALE, ATHENA & PARATRIATHLON** Categories/Divisions – Male & Female in the Mini, Sprint and Olympic triathlons will receive an award commemorating their finish.

Relays
For those who prefer to race one element of the triathlon or duathlon we offer a relay division for our sprint and Olympic distance triathlons and duathlons. Relay teams consist of three (3) members (1 swimmer, 1 biker, 1 runner), each member will complete one segment of the race (2 members for duathlon teams). Each team member will exchange their timing chip bracelet at their assigned bike rack. Park Gate Fee: $10 – The park charges a $10 gate fee per car. The $10 was an add-on during your race registration. You will be required to give your name at the gate at entry. If you have family or friends arriving separately from you please make them aware of the gate charge.
Please Note: All participants must collect his/ her own event packet. Photo ID is required in order to collect event materials. NO ID = NO EVENT. HINT if you take a photo of your ID with your phone, that will be sufficient for photo ID purposes.
Pre-Race Meeting: A brief pre-race meeting will take place on race morning at approximately 7:00 am located near the transition area. Additionally, before each swim wave, the swim starter will briefly go over the course. 4 triathlons of 3 days, multiple formats, and different distances — we have a race for you. Distances range from short and Olympic distance to half iron endurance distance to cap off the weekend. The ultimate test of endurance is to complete all four triathlons but you can participate in 1 race or as many as you wish with our Triple T package.
Participate with friends! Triathlon may be considered an individual sport on race day, however, getting to the start line doesn’t have to be a solo effort! At American Triple-T, we feel that triathlon teams and clubs create the sense of community that American Triple-T is all about.
Not Ready to Solo? No Problem. We have an exciting American Triple-T Relay Team competition. Get together with friends and tackle the weekend. Relay Teams are formed of 2 or 3 competitors that compete as a team to finish the Triathlon. Only one person is on the course at a time, all team members must complete at least one section of the course.

About the American Triple-T
What IS the American Triple-T? Well, it’s everything you’ve heard it to be, and more. The event is so much more than your typical “triathlon weekend” — it’s a triathlon achievement of epic proportions for all who partake. It is 3 consecutive days of racing, gelling together 4 races covering a total of more than 70 or 140 miles for the weekend. You will find yourself swimming in chilly Atwood Lake, riding the challenging hills of Tuscarawas and Carroll County, and finishing with a demanding run on the manicured trails within the park.
The American Triple-T is not for the weak or faint of spirit. It has humbled many triathletes who didn’t take it seriously, and it validates a host of others who test their “tri-mettle” at the “T” every year. Athletes from all 50 states, and 4 continents have all sought the privilege of earning their American Triple-T finisher T-shirt. Competitors, volunteers and spectators all come away with a new appreciation of the sport and of the athletes who train and tame mind and body to complete this legendary event.
You’ll also come away with newfound friendships, and you’ll solidify those bonds every year you come together to face this demon. There are even a special few who turned their initial shared experiences at the American Triple-T into a union of souls, and they came back the next year to compete as husband and wife! HFP Racing invites you to Ohio’s season opening Olympic and Half Iron distance triathlons and Aquabike — the Pleasant Valley Olympic & Half Iron Triathlon & Aquabike. This exciting weekend gives participants an opportunity to race alongside the American Triple-T participants in Sunday’s race finale during the American Triple-T weekend. You will find yourself swimming in the beautiful Pleasant Hill Lake, riding the challenging hills surrounding Pleasant Hill, and finishing with a run on the rolling roads within the park
The Pleasant Valley races are part of the famous American Triple-T weekend May 16-18, 2025. The Pleasant Valley Sprint races are Saturday morning but if you want to challenge yourself again the same weekend, on Sunday, May 18 are the Pleasant Valley Olympic Triathlon & Aquabike and the Pleasant Valley Half Iron Triathlon & Aquabike.
The Pleasant Valley Triathlon, Duathlon & Aquabike takes place at Pleasant Hill Lake Park located an hour North of Columbus, Ohio and and approximately 1 hour 20 minutes South of Cleveland, Ohio off I-71. Pleasant Hill Lake Park, located in central Ohio’s Mohican Country, is widely known for its outdoor recreational activities. The park is located in Ashland and Richland Counties and accessible via Routes 39, 95, & 603 from I-71. The park is part of the Muskingum Valley Water District.

Relays
For those who prefer to race one element of the triathlon or duathlon we offer a relay division for our sprint and Olympic distance triathlons and duathlons. Relay teams consist of three (3) members (1 swimmer, 1 biker, 1 runner), each member will complete one segment of the race (2 members for duathlon teams). Each team member will exchange their timing chip bracelet at their assigned bike rack. About the State of Ohio Multisport Series
Welcome to Ohio’s premier triathlon, duathlon, and multisport series. Throughout the summer, the series visits seven beautiful venues across the State of Ohio – from North to South. Each venue features an exciting course and scenic view of the park. Each venue will feature a triathlon, duathlon, and aquabike on Sunday and several venues will play host to other events on Saturday. So whether you’re racing to be a series champion or giving multisport racing a try for the first time, the State of Ohio Multisport Series is for YOU! It’s ALL ABOUT FUN!
In 2024, we are excited to announce that all series races will be scored for series points! With 7 multisport races throughout Ohio, there are more racing options for more athletes to win their division on the State of Ohio Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquabike Series Cup!
In addition to our standard divisions, in 2024, we have added additional divisions Collegiate, High School, and First Responders (Police, Fire, EMS, & Military).
